Smoking aggravates pain in knee osteoarthritis patients!
Anupam Agnihotri | Dec 8 2006

If you are a smoker then knee osteoarthritis can be more painful for you, US researchers have given vent to this view after studying about 159 men with symptomatic osteoarthritis of the knee for 30 months.

Another thing that comes out of this study states that smokers have two-fold higher risk of cartilage loss in knee joints, which is a process that begins as the diseases progresses.

It is well known that knee osteoarthritis brings in several problems and if you smoke then problems can be more voluminous; mind it.
